Where to begin

When you’re thinking about overall wellness in your life, it can be daunting to know where to begin.

Food and nutrition?

Exercise?

The products I use on my body?

My mental health?

They all play a key role in how we feel in our day to day and what our future might hold for us down the road. When all of this is new and you’re just a big ball of questions, searching for answers and maybe a little bit lost mixed with a lot a bit inspired, it can be overwhelming.

Everyone’s story will be different. Everyone’s starting place unique. Prioritize what feels the most heavy or important to your life currently. Maybe starting to exercise consistently and move your body more will affect your mental health or your sleep or your stress (hint, it will!) and then maybe that will spiral in to you wanting to dial your nutrition in so that you can feel even better.

Or maybe you’ve become aware of the amount of toxic chemicals and products we put on to our bodies every day through our makeup or lotions and shampoos. Or even the cleaning products we use each day in our homes and around our families.

Whichever area feels most doable, start with it. For most, not everything will happen at once. It’s a long and evolving process. It’s called a ditch and switch!

When you run out of a product or certain food that you’d rather not use or have, don’t buy it again. Instead replace it with an alternative option that you feel better about. And slowly do that each time.

Toothpaste is gone, get a cleaner version. Your bag of sugar runs out, buy some coconut sugar instead. Utilize the endless resources out there to find what works for you. The Think Dirty App and EWG.org are both great tools for looking up specific products and seeing where they fall in regard to their toxicity level.

My personal favorite products though have come from Young Living. My most loved part of discovering this company has been the humongous inventory they offer! And the products are legit and clean. Not only do I get my essential oils from them, but I’ve slowly ditched and switched my home of all the things!

Generally, I had a pretty good hold on the products I had in my home. But being able to get everything in one place has been a game changer.
